We call it Camp GCC! The Geyserville Christian Church @ 21300 Geyserville Ave., in Geyserville, a small church with a big heart, is going to have a Camp out in the sanctuary where we will talk about our faith during the last four Sundays in July. Be prepared for Sunday fun as we meet around the campfire for camping-style meeting to discuss our faith and life. The final Sunday is July 31st, will be held at Jane & Gene Schlettler’s lakeside property. Invite your friends and prepare to have fun. Pastor Hilary Marckx says, “Anyone interested in experiencing a unique message of hope and inclusion are welcome to attend our Services, God is still speaking.” Pastor Hilary says, “We will conduct our Sunday Services as if they were being done on a camping retreat.” He describes the services as being informal, and invites all who attend to dress as if they were at a church-camp campfire service. Pastor Hilary quips, “It maybe hot, but there won’t be mosquitoes, ants, bears or skunks. What we will have is a lot of fun, and we’ll learn something about God and ourselves. Be prepared for it!” Pastor Hilary describes the regular service as informal service with an emphasis on singing and community fellowship that combines the freedom and exuberance of a contemporary praise service with some elements of the classical worship offering a progressive message of hope and inclusion to all. Themes and Questions for the series are: July 10th – What Do We
Need To Know? July 17th – What do we
know about God and how do we know it? July 24th – What does
God do? July 31st – What can I
hope for? (Services will be held at Jan & Gene Schlettler’s by the Vineyard
Lake, directions will be supplied previous Sunday) |
